SmiteWorks was formed in Espoo Finland in 2004 and is the creator of the popular Fantasy Grounds II virtual tabletop application. It was acquired by U.S. investors in October 2009 and is now based out of Louisville, KY, with a presence in Renton, WA and Huntsville, AL.

Our focus is on developing real-time graphics intensive entertainment products such as games and gaming related utilities. With highly skilled developers and dedication to innovation, our products share a common theme - to break new ground by basing our products on concepts not readily available on the market.

Fantasy Grounds is first such product. It provides a new type of gaming experience for Pen & Paper role-players not available anywhere else. Much thought was put into analyzing the elements that make Pen & Paper gaming such a popular form of gaming, which then was brought to the online world of home PCs.
