Despite the global recession, last year (2009) saw excellent growth in sales across the board for Fantasy Grounds II and its accessories. There was a slight dip in sales for June, July and December 2009, but the average monthly increase compared to 2008 was +37.52%. There were 21% more core licenses sold and sales of other products increased by a factor of 2.25. Products sold in 33 countries last year, with the most sales coming from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France and then Australia.
There are no public sales metrics to compare our user base with those of other virtual tabletop applications, but we have seen our sales grow to the following distribution of licenses:
|Product Category||2009 Sales Rank||Previous Year Rank|
|Call of Cthulhu||3||4|
|Castles & Crusades||6||-|
We would like to continue seeing growth in the number of officially licensed products available for Fantasy Grounds. This means new rulesets, better support of those rulesets, generic token and map packs and many more adventure modules. The core base code should continue to improve to further streamline gameplay, to add more features for the rulesets to call upon and to improve on application stability. We have just barely scratched the surface of the gaming community. We have been working diligently to bring on new publishers and we see this as the best method for substantially growing the user base. More users will make it easier for players and GMs to find similarly interested gamers and more people gaming makes the world a happy place. ;)
